I am a paralegal supporting a team of four lawyers specialising in childcare law. My team specialises in care proceedings, which involve social services taking parents/carers to court due to concerns over the care of their child or children.

As a firm, we are contracted by the Legal Aid Agency, and in almost all care proceedings, legal aid is free and available for children and parents.

My role encompasses a broad range of duties and crucially I act as a key point of contact to assist clients if their lawyer is required at court. The role also involves attendance at court, assisting with client statements, drafting applications, researching specialists, briefing counsel, and the general running of cases in the lawyer’s absence.

I take great pride in the work our dedicated childcare team does to represent the needs of vulnerable clients in challenging circumstances.
