Dipti Ahir

I am a Partner and Head of Risk and Compliance at Amphlett Lissimore.

I qualified as a Solicitor in 2006 and spent many years specialising in commercial property. During that time, I advised clients on a wide range of matters including development projects, joint ventures, option agreements, commercial sales and purchases, commercial leases, and property portfolio refinances. Earlier in my career, I also worked as a law lecturer at what is now BPP University.

Alongside my legal practice, I became increasingly involved in helping the firm respond to the growing demands of regulation and compliance. Since 2018, I have worked closely with colleagues across the business on areas including anti-money laundering, regulatory compliance, equality and diversity, health and safety, risk management, and client care.

My background as a solicitor gives me a practical understanding of the challenges faced by both lawyers and clients. I believe risk and compliance work best when it supports people to do their jobs effectively, while ensuring the firm meets its professional and regulatory obligations. That perspective helps me take a balanced, pragmatic approach to the role.

In 2024, I stepped away from commercial property work to become Head of Risk and Compliance. Since then, I have focused on strengthening our compliance framework, supporting colleagues across the firm, and helping Amphlett Lissimore respond to an increasingly complex regulatory environment.

My role is to provide clear guidance, build effective processes, and help create an environment where everyone in the firm feels supported, accountable, and able to do their best work. By supporting colleagues across the business, I help ensure that we continue to deliver an exceptional service to our clients while meeting the evolving requirements of the legal profession.
