Family Mediation week: thumbs up

Amphlett Lissimore proudly supports Family Mediation Week!

This year, Family Mediation Week takes place from 26th – 30th January 2026. Organised by the Family Mediation Council (FMC), this week aims to raise awareness of how family mediation can help separating couples make arrangements for children, property and finances in a calmer, more constructive way. The FMC will be hosting events to help those interested in family mediation, for both legal professionals and the general public, gain more understanding of the process.

More information on Family Mediation

Here is a selection of informative blogs our mediators have written to highlight the benefits and importance of family mediation:

Meet our Mediators

Our mediators are trained to help you discuss and agree on the best arrangements for your family. Each are members of Resolution, an organisation of lawyers, who believe in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law.

Samantha O’Dwyer

Samantha O’Dwyer is an Advanced Family Panel Senior Associate Solicitor and an Accredited Family Mediator in our family team, based at our West Wickham and Bromley offices. As an accredited family mediator, Samantha is well placed to guide clients through the whole mediation process, including Hybrid mediation and Child Inclusive Mediation (CIM) methods. Samantha can conduct MIAMs (Mediation Information and Assessment Meetings) for people during family court proceedings. This year, Chambers and Partners recognised Samantha O’Dwyer’s mediation work  in the 2026 UK Guide, ranking her in ‘Spotlight’ in Family/Matrimonial: Mediators, as well as being named a Key Lawyer in the Legal 500.

Alice Brett

Alice is a Senior Associate Solicitor and Family Mediator in the family law department. In 2017, Alice became a Family Mediator and is now working towards becoming an Accredited Mediator. Within Alice’s family mediation practice, she enjoys working constructively with clients to find bespoke solutions tailored to their families’ needs. Her work has led her to be recognised and named within the Legal 500 UK guide 2026. Alice is based primarily at our London Bridge and Battersea Power Station offices and often meets with clients at our Crystal Palace, and Victoria offices as well.

If you would like to discuss our mediation services further, please contact our Family Law department on 020 8771 5254 and ask to arrange a call with one of our Mediators.
